The afternoon of day three we discovered this old bull elephant. Old (probably in his 40s) but still chasing the ladies. We followed him for a number of miles before he redevoued with a breeding herd.

I also rented a camera on day 3 which is why these shots look noticably better than those taken with my iphone on the previous drives.

Just time for a quick mudbath before hooking up with the female herd.

Every girl's crazy 'bout a sharp dressed man...

Speaking of sharply dressed, these two are ready for the black & white ball.

Lots of Lion King moments out here in the bush.

A napping Simba.

This Leopard interrupted our 'sundowners' so we had to finish our G & Ts in the Land Rover. By the way, how we are able to get so close and be safe is the game see the land rovers as a large, non-competitive animal not as a box full of snacks. So inside the Rover we are pretty safe. Outside, we are potential prey.

Drive 6 started at the usual 5:30am departure, but had a special surprise in store.

First off, another female leopard out catting around .

One of the smallest antelopes - a Steenbok

Some Eagles

After these sightings, we parked the rover and our ranger and tracker took us on a bush walk. So, for those that don't know, a bush walk is a safari on foot. Closer to nature but also away from the safety of the Rover. We probably walked a few miles through the bush and eventually came across elephant track which we followed until we caught up with a large male bull. We obviously did not get as close as we do in the Rover, but close enough to be thrilling!

We were met in this little ironwood forest by another rover with breakfast for a breakfast in the bush.

Each day continues to surprise...
